Makeup is expensive, there's no avoiding that. But out of the hundreds of products available please be rest assured that there are some magical beauty bargains out there that are just as effective as their expensive counterparts.

I am an 18 year old Student from the UK. I am in full time education and do not currently have a job, so as you can presume my cash flow is relatively minimal. Over the past few years since I first started experimenting with makeup I have had to scrimp. And by scrimp, I mean sometimes I have only had pennies.

So I would like to share with you all the beauty products I have found over these past few years, and the effectiveness of these products.

Here is my most recent makeup look.

This picture has had no editing and is all down to the work of quality makeup.

The product list is as follows:

Revlon Colourstay in 220 natural beige.  - £12.49

Rimmel London Exaggerate eyeliner in 001 100% black - RRP £5.29 but I got it for £4.39 in a Superdrug Sale

NYC Metro Quartet Eye Shadow in 759B (Manhattan Island) - £2 in Superdrug

Model Co Fibre LashXtend Mascara - £1 on the front of Cover magazine

MUA Sheer Lipgloss  - £1 Superdrug

MUA Bronzer Shade 3 - £1 Superdrug

MUA Blush perfection cream blusher in Bittersweet -£1 Superdrug

The thrifty person I am recoils at the price of Revlon Colourstay. But I have to assure you guys that it is the best out of all of the foundations I have tried and well worth the cost, it is the longest lasting, flawless coverage I have seen of any foundation.

This was my skin before revlon colourstay:

Similarly I have tried many eyeliners and I would not scrimp any lower than the price of Rimmels eyeliner. I have tried a broad range and find the amount of filler in the cheaper products to cause cracking and sometimes even a light stinging in the eye.

However, all products differ on different people so I will be offering comprehensive reviews on all of the above products, alongside products I have dismissed in the past.
